2023 Chevy Tahoe vs 2023 Toyota Sequoia

2023 Chevy Tahoe vs. 2023 Toyota Sequoia

Chevy and Toyota are quality car companies that make amazing large SUVs, but which one is better? We put the 2023 Tahoe and Sequoia models in a head-to-head competition. Stick around to learn which SUV comes out on top.

Spacious Cabin

The Tahoe's spacious cabin is ideal for toting the kids around. It seats up to nine passengers, plus there's up to 122.9 cubic feet of cargo room. The fully redesigned Sequoia offers a better cabin than its predecessor. However, you'll still find the material quality lacking, especially in the back rows outfitted with cheap-looking plastic.

Technology Package

Chevy's infotainment system is easy to use, offers quick input response times, and has an intuitive menu. In the Tahoe, you'll get an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, and voice recognition. The Sequoia's standard 8-inch touch screen is easy to reach while driving, and its large icons help get your eyes back on the road quickly.

Powertrain

The new Tahoe comes with a stock V-6, but the V-8 offers more off-line acceleration, or pick the turbodiesel if you prioritize fuel economy. It provides excellent EPA ratings for the class: 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. The Sequoia's new i-Force Max hybrid system is one of the best, yet its fuel economy rating can't beat the Tahoe at 21 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
