2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

The entry-level Silverado 2500 is the WT. It has 17-inch wheels, black bumpers, black exterior trim, and a locking tailgate. The Custom adds 20-inch wheels, deep-tinted glass, and power-adjustable trailering mirrors. A step up to the LT adds 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome bumpers, and Chevy's EZ Lift tailgate. Another bump to the LTZ trim gets you 18-inch wheels, heated and power-adjustable trailering mirrors, and LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights. The top-level High Country comes with 20-inch wheels, a spray-in bed liner, a unique grille with bronze accents, and 6-inch chrome assist steps.

The Silverado 2500's standard engine is a 6.6-liter V-8 with 401 horsepower. It works with a six-speed automatic transmission. A 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V-8 is optional for any trim and delivers 445 horsepower. This engine works with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Rear-wheel drive comes standard with the Silverado 2500, but a capable four-wheel drive is optional for most trims. When equipped with a tow package and a gooseneck hitch, this truck can tow up to 18,510 pounds, and with a regular hitch, it can tow over 17,000 pounds.

Depending on the cab, the Silverado 2500 can fit up to six people. The base WT model has the basics in the cabin, including vinyl upholstery, manual door locks, and rear seat air vents, depending on the configuration you choose. The Custom adds cloth upholstery, and the LTZ has leather upholstery. It also adds power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The High Country is the most upscale model and comes with heated and ventilated front seats and a power-sliding rear window. Technology in the Silverado 2500 starts with a 7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth. The LT upgrades to an 8-inch touchscreen and adds satellite radio and Chevrolet Connected Services with a Wi-Fi hotspot. It also has a larger driver information display. Two 120-volt outlets come in the LTZ and High Country, and these also have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two additional USB ports in the second row, and an upgraded touchscreen.

All the Silverado 2500 trims offer advanced safety features as an option, and the higher trims offer additional driver aids. Standard safety systems include anti-lock brakes, a rearview camera, electronic stability and traction control, and a rear-seat reminder. Optional features include forward collision warning, automatic braking, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors. The LTZ and High Country offer the option to add lane-departure warning and automatic high-beam headlights, and you can also get a head-up display and digital rearview mirror.
