What the Listings Let You Filter On

Trim and drivetrain are the two filters that narrow the listings fastest. The engine and the transmission are the same across the range, so neither one is a filter you need.

Filter Your options What it changes Where you settle it
Trim LT, RS or ACTIV Price The trim table below, then the vehicles themselves
Drivetrain Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive Price and combined fuel economy The drivetrain section below, then the individual listing

Each listing shows how that vehicle is built and what it sells for.

Trim Levels and Prices

This lineup has one trim step, plus $2,000 for all-wheel drive.

Trim Front-wheel drive All-wheel drive Where It Sits in the Lineup
LT $29,000 $31,000 The entry point to the 2027 lineup
RS $33,900 $35,900 $4,900 above the LT
ACTIV $33,900 $35,900 The same price as the RS

MSRP at launch (2027 model year), excluding destination. Current pricing varies by configuration and program.

Which Trim Should You Choose

If the payment is what you are solving for, take the LT. Nothing else in the range launched lower, and the step up to either upper trim is the one price decision this lineup asks you to make. Drive the LT first and see whether it already does what you need.

If your budget has room above the LT, price will not decide the rest for you, because the RS and the ACTIV launched at the same figure. Go look at both. Tell us when you are coming and ask to see them together, and we will set that up where we can.

Front-Drive or All-Wheel Drive

Both drivetrains are rated the same in the city and on the highway.

Configuration City Highway Combined
Front-wheel drive 25 MPG 29 MPG 27 MPG
All-wheel drive 25 MPG 29 MPG 26 MPG

The only difference on paper is one MPG combined, so the ratings will not settle this for you; the $2,000 and the weather will. Where your drive ends is more useful. Winters here run more to ice and rain-to-snow than to deep accumulation, and the main routes get treated before the county roads and two-lane state routes do. If your last stretch home is one of those, all-wheel drive is worth a look. If you live in town and park on pavement, front-wheel drive is the simpler buy and carries the better combined rating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Launch prices for all three trims are in the trim table above, and they exclude destination. What a specific vehicle sells for depends on how it is built and on the programs running that month, so go by the sticker on the one you want in the current new Equinox listings.

Three: LT, RS and ACTIV. The current Equinox listings show which ones are here today and how each one is built.

It comes down to where your drive ends rather than how far it runs, and the drivetrain section above walks through that. If you are still torn, ask us to line up one of each in the trim you want and drive them back to back. Drivetrain is one of the filters on our Chevrolet inventory search, so you can look at both configurations before you come in.

The listings change daily, so they are the place to check. Search our new vehicle inventory to see what is here right now, filtered to the trim and drivetrain you want. If the exact build is not showing, contact us and we will tell you what is realistic.

Current offers sit on our new vehicle specials page. They change month to month, so check the page against the trim you are considering rather than going on what ran last month.

Yes. Start with how our trade-in process works so you know what to bring and how the appraisal runs, then bring it in when you come to drive an Equinox. Your trade figure and any current offer on our specials page come off the same deal, so it is worth knowing both before you sit down.
