Which Trim Should You Choose
The LT carries the equipment every 2027 Traverse trim shares. The Z71 suits drivers who leave the pavement, and the RS is for drivers who want Super Cruise standard and a blacked-out look. Moving up from the LT cost $8,300 at launch for the Z71 and $15,000 for the RS.
Three colors are new for 2027, and each one is tied to certain trims. Two are paints, Twilight Blue on the RS and Trillium Green Metallic on the LT and RS. The third is a new Oregon seat color on the Z71. If you are still torn between two trims, schedule a test drive.
Engine, Drivetrain and Fuel Economy
Every 2027 Traverse uses the same turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder and eight-speed automatic. The engine is rated at 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, and it runs on regular unleaded fuel. The Traverse is offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and the Z71 includes all-wheel drive.

The 2027 Traverse seats 7 as standard, with seating for 8 available. Every trim comes with Smart Slide Seats, the AutoSense Power Liftgate and a 17.7-inch touchscreen display. With the seats folded, the Traverse holds up to 98 cubic feet of cargo, and all three trims have 5,000 pounds of standard towing capacity with the included trailering equipment.
