Performance
The new Chevy Silverado 2500 has two engine options. The standard engine is a 6.6L V8 with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. There’s an available 6.6L Duramax Diesel engine that delivers 470 horsepower and 975 lb.-ft. of torque.
Towing and Trailering
With the optional Duramax engine, the new Silverado 2500 has a maximum available towing capacity of up to 36,000 pounds. With the standard V8 engine, the maximum towing capacity is 19,090 pounds.
Camera Technology
There are eight available cameras for the Chevy Silverado 2500. These cameras create up to 14 different views of the area surrounding your vehicle and any cargo you’re towing with four available hitch views.
Durabed
The Silverado’s Durabed is made from high-strength roll-formed steel and offers more cargo space than its competitors. With 12 standard tie-downs rated at 500 pounds per corner, this truck bed is built for heavy-duty loads. There’s also an available 120-volt outlet, allowing you to use electric tools while working.
Assistive Driving
The Chevy Silverado comes with many assistive driving features, including:
- Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking
- Front Pedestrian Braking
- Following Distance Indicator
- Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning

The new Chevy Silverado 2500 has advanced technology and connectivity options, including an available 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen.
